Welcome to MK City Travel (“we”, “our”, “us”). By using our website www.mkcitytaxi.com or booking our taxi and airport transfer services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Definitions

  • “Customer” / “You” – the person or company making the booking.
  • “Driver” – the licensed driver assigned to complete your journey.
  • “Service” – any transport service provided by MK City Travel.
  • “Booking” – a confirmed request for transport made via our website, app, phone, or email.

2. Booking and Confirmation

  • Bookings can be made online, by phone, or via email.
  • You will receive a confirmation once your booking is accepted.
  • Please check all booking details (date, time, pickup/drop-off address, flight number, etc.) carefully. MK City Travel is not responsible for incorrect information provided by the customer.
  • All airport bookings must include accurate flight numbers and arrival times to allow proper tracking.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • All fares are quoted in GBP (£) and include VAT (if applicable).
  • Prices are fixed at the time of booking unless changes are made to the journey.
  • Payment can be made online, by card, or in cash (where available).
  • Additional charges may apply for:
    • Extra waiting time
    • Additional stops
    • Last-minute changes
    • Parking or tolls (where applicable)

4. Waiting Time and Delays

  • For airport pickups, we monitor flight arrivals and provide 45 minutes of free waiting time from the actual landing time.
  • After the free waiting period, additional waiting time may be charged at our standard hourly rate.
  • For non-airport bookings, we allow 10 minutes of free waiting time from the scheduled pickup time.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time: Full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the pickup time: No refund may be given.
  • No-shows or failure to meet your driver will be treated as a non-refundable cancellation.
  • Refunds (where applicable) will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 working days.

6. Responsibilities of the Customer

  • Ensure that you allow enough time for your journey, especially for airport transfers.
  • Treat drivers and vehicles with respect.
  • You are responsible for the conduct of all passengers during the trip.
  • Damage to vehicles caused by passengers may result in a cleaning or repair fee.

7. Luggage and Personal Items

  • Each passenger is allowed one standard suitcase and one small hand luggage unless otherwise agreed.
  • Please inform us in advance if you are travelling with extra luggage or large items.
  • MK City Travel is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings left in the vehicle.

8. Child Seats

  • Child seats can be provided upon request at the time of booking (subject to availability).
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children are secured safely in the vehicle.

9. Service Limitations

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone acting abusively or posing a safety risk.
  • While we make every effort to arrive on time, MK City Travel cannot be held liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, or events beyond our control.

10. Liability

  • MK City Travel’s liability is limited to the cost of the booking made.
  • We are not liable for indirect losses, missed flights, or consequential damages resulting from delays.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect and use your information.

12. Changes to Terms

MK City Travel reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
